**Duties and Responsibilities of a Security Officer**

To qualify as a Security Officer in Florida, candidates must be U.S. citizens or legal resident aliens, at least
18 years of age, with no criminal charges in the past three years, and demonstrate good moral character (not a habitual user of drugs or alcohol). The typical responsibilities of a Security Officer include controlling access to buildings and ensuring the safety of guests and the public, patrolling designated areas, conducting security checks, monitoring alarm systems and surveillance equipment, enforcing laws, regulations, and company policies, and responding to.

Additionally, well-trained Security Officers bring essential skills that enhance the effectiveness of any organization, including alertness, honesty, integrity, excellent communication skills, and the to follow instructions effectively.
